All praise is due to Allah, the most merciful and the beneficent, may
peace, salutation and the blessing be upon the prophet Muhammad (S.A.W), his
entire family, his companions and those that follow their footsteps with
righteous until the last day. Indeed
whomever the Allah (S.W.T) wishes good he give the figh of the deen Al-Islam,
moreover Holy Quran was revealed to the last prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). has we
all know that the Quran was not revealed at once , it was revealed to him
segment or parts but majority of the Quranic verses were revealed
in Makkah and while others Quranic verses
were revealed in Madinah. Furthermore knowing the differences of verses
that was revealed both Makkah and Madinah helps we lot in our daily Ibadaat
(Worship).
The Holy
Noble Book of Al-Quran, His Noble speech. A miraculous in nature Allah (S.W.T)
sent this Miraculous Book to his beloved slave prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) and
last messenger. The Quran has been categories into chapters which is known as an
Ayat and the Surah’s are divided into revelation and subject matters. The first
division is Makkah and the Second one is Madinah. Before going further I like first and
foremost define what are Makkan verses…? Makkan verses are Quranic verses that
was revealed to the prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) in Makkah and this occurred
thirteen years before hijrah. These are very powerful short Quranic verses,
some were revealed to challenge the disbelievers and address the mankind.
What
are Madinan verses….? Madinan verses are Quranic Verses that was revealed to
the beloved prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) in Madinah and this happen ten years after
the hijrah. The main concentrations is on the details information of the
Islamic laws (Shariah laws) are long Quranic Verses that talk over the
hypocrites and the verse mainly address the believers.
The
some of the benefits of knowing the distinction between the Madina and Makah Quran
Verses are as follows.
1)
It helps
us in structuring and formulating of the our methodologies an applications of giving
Dawah, our principles of Figh, and understanding the Islamic Sariah and its abrogation’s

It
helps the Ummah in understanding the orders of the Surah’s or Verses
accordingly in which the Quran was revealed both in Makah and Madinah.
3)
Understanding
when the verses was revealed to the beloved prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) helps us
to comprehend the message, the topic, and the theme of the Quran verses in
which it was revealed for.
4) It helps the Muslim to distinguish the between the
abrogated verses from the abrogating.
5) The Muslim Become familiar in regarding the eras in
which the revelation of particular laws was revealed.
6) Helps the Muslims to comprehend the context and the
cause for the revelation of a precise (Surah or Ayah).
7) It helps Mankind to appreciate the greatness of the
Noble Quran in the lives of those early generation Muslims.

Indeed it also helps the Muslims to recognize the Holy Quran not
just to be memorized but truly understood
Firstly,
The structuring and methodology of giving Dawah, in understanding the methodology and the order in which the
verses are revealed to the prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) gives one the correct formulation of given
Dawah. As Quran teaches us not to curse the Disbelievers idols in order not to
make them go ways and so that they do not ignorantly curse Allah (S.A.W).
Instead we try to be reason with them.
Allah
(S.W.T) quotes the prophet Ibrahim saying: “Are you worshiping other gods
beside Allah, which cannot benefit you nor harm you anyway?
The
verse quoting the statement of Ibrahim’s because of enmity he has for his
peoples in the society; they worshiping of other Gods beside Allah (Allah). He
said:
“There
is an excellent example for you in Abraham and those with him, when they said
to their people, ‘we are clear of you and of whatever you worship besides
Allah; we have rejected you, and there has arisen, between us and you, enmity
and hatred forever, unless ye believe in Allah alone,’ ” (Mumtahanah 60:4)
Principles of Figh (Islamic Law), there are
different Islamic laws that were revealed to the beloved prophet Muhammad
(S.A.W) within the period of twenty-three years of his life. Some of the former
Islamic laws was cancel by the new laws. Moreover, while other Islamic laws were
revealed bit by bit, furthermore this help the individual to know at which in
time the several Islamic laws were revealed for the proper application of this
laws.
Secondly
if one those not understand or He or She is unaware of the order in which the
Holy Quran was revealed to the beloved prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) may foldaway
from the message, or mistakenly make it permissible to drink an alcohol as
along one those not get drunk and approach the salah; dealing of an alcohol in
order to benefit himself from it. Some of the Islamic laws that revealed in the
Madina. Example of these verses are, the Alcohol was made verse concerning
alcohol make it prohibited in gradual stages.
The
first stated that: “If you are ask you about the khamr (alcohol) and maysir
(gambling); tell them that they contain some Advantage (benefit), nevertheless
the sin is bigger than the advantage.” (Baqarah 2:219)
The second verse it was revealed to warn the
Muslim not to approach the Salah (prayer) when they are intoxicated
(drunk): “Do not come to salaah when
you are intoxicated, until you know what you are saying.” (Nisaa 4:43)
Furthermore, the third stage khamr was totally prohibited in any
form; even come near to it no consume it. “Verily, khamr, maysir and azlaam
(fortunetelling) are filth, are as a result of work, so stay away
from them.”
The Muslim
Become familiar in regarding the eras in which the revelation of particular
laws was revealed, this has a grate significant in the life of the Muslims and
this also assist us in understanding the Ayat. Example of the verses in
revealed in the Madina:
When Allah (S.W.T) is
taking about the reward of disbelievers and believers in prophet Muhammad
(S.A.W) saying.
Disbelievers and the Believers Allah says,
“Those
who disbelieve and hinder (men) from the path of Allah, He will render their
deeds vain.” (S. Muhammad 47:38)
(“And we will approach what they have done of deeds and make them
as dispersed dust.”) (s. Muhammad 47:25:23) Allah (S.W.T) then
says
“But
those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and believe in that which is
sent down to Muhammad , for it is the truth from their Lord, He will expiate
from them their sins, and will make good their state.”
In
conclusion knowing the different between the Makkan and Madinan verses, helps
the Muslims to understand the correct methodologies in giving Dawah, the order,
context in which Holy Quran was revealed
and the cause for the revelation of the precise Ayah ; era in which the particular laws was revealed ; understanding the abrogating and the abrogated verses of the Quran, not
only by memorizing it but also understanding what you have memorized and you
really appreciate the Holy Noble Quran as a source of guidance for humanity.

In the 4th paragraph, in the line "do not ignorantly curse Allah (S.A.W)." It is written (S.A.W) after Allah, shouldn't it be (S.W.T)? Please correct this mistake. Salaam alikum
